Bloxtel Tokenizes 5G Infrastructure on Avalanche

The AP 201 collapses a radio, a 3GPP Release 17 standalone 5G core, and an operations layer into one passively cooled enclosure. That operations layer includes Graham, Bloxtel's built-in AI agent: it autonomously monitors the network, explains failures in plain language, so a fleet of access points can be run without a Network Operations Center (NOC) reading raw logs behind it. Rather than running on infrastructure a single carrier owns and leases, each unit is registered on-chain as its own address, and the subscriber credentials that connect to it are minted as dSIM® tokens: real-world assets that let a landlord, a venue, or a community fund a cell the same way they might back a piece of physical infrastructure, and earn against the traffic it carries.

The hardware on stage is itself the product of an earlier milestone this year. In April 2026, Bloxtel and Askey announced a strategic partnership to co-design and manufacture the AP 201 around Askey's SCU5000 small-cell platform. Askey customized the hardware and its firmware around Bloxtel's Open6GC core, so the control plane and user plane run natively on the same board as the radio instead of reaching back to a data center. That custom fit is what turns a 5G core into something a single tokenized box can carry: the AP 201 deploys like an enterprise Wi-Fi access point but runs a full carrier-grade 5G core inside it.
Decentralized wireless has largely proven itself out on unlicensed spectrum, with today's largest networks built around Wi-Fi and IoT connectivity rather than a licensed cellular core. Bloxtel is pursuing a far more complex architecture, the industry's holy grail, that other vendors have not been able to technically solve and package together. The unique approach, enabled by the patented dSIM® technology, is the market's only standalone cellular core that needs no incumbent network underneath it, with the radio hardware itself, not just access to it, tokenized and owned on-chain.
That complexity pays off because Wi-Fi's unlicensed, contention-based spectrum makes it cheap and easy to deploy, but performance degrades unpredictably as more devices share the same channel. Licensed and CBRS-managed spectrum gives a 5G network guaranteed capacity and deterministic quality of service instead, delivering the kind of reliability a hospital floor, a warehouse robot fleet, or a public-safety network needs and Wi-Fi alone cannot promise. That gap is where enterprises turn to private cellular, and it's the market the AP 201 is built for.
